Virtual Exchange

The An-Najah Virtual Exchange Collaborative is composed of VE Faculty from An-Najah and various international institutions, focused on delivering exceptional international educational opportunities to students. The Collaborative also includes VE Ambassadors, distinguished alumni, who play a crucial role in supporting programming and fostering student engagement in different programs.

The An-Najah Virtual Exchange Collaborative was founded in response to escalating travel restrictions and stringent visa limitations impacting Palestinians. This initiative emerged as a vital solution to overcome the increasing isolation of our students from the international academic community. Launched in 2017, and initiated by Mrs. Alia Gilbrecht, the Collaborative was run by the International and External Affairs Office and the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and is now managed by the Academic and Professional Development Centre (APDC).

Dedicated to preserving and enhancing international connectivity, the Collaborative has evolved into more than an alternative to physical exchanges. It is an indispensable tool for fostering global dialogue and collaboration, enabling students and faculty to transcend physical borders and engage with peers worldwide. The Collaborative's significant contributions to the field of Virtual Exchange, particularly in research and pedagogy focusing on equity in conflict zones, have marked An Najah as a leader in this domain.
