Access to Sexual and Reproductive Health-Care Services

Information, Education, Prevention, Counseling, and Referral Support

An-Najah National University is committed to ensuring equitable, confidential, inclusive, and culturally respectful access to sexual and reproductive health-care services, alongside information, education, awareness, counseling, and referral support for students and the wider community.

Through an integrated system that brings together the University’s health-care services, academic health programs, counseling support, and hospital-based referral pathways, the University promotes informed decision-making, prevention, dignity, wellbeing, and the right to health for all.

Through An-Najah National University Hospital, An-Najah Medical Clinics, the Deanship of Student Affairs, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, the University provides a broad range of services related to women’s health, reproductive wellbeing, maternal health, preventive screening, health education, and psychosocial support.

These services are delivered in a manner that respects privacy and cultural values while strengthening health literacy and access to appropriate care.

On-Campus Access to Sexual and Reproductive Health-Care Services

Through the University’s health-care services and student support system, students have access to qualified medical staff who provide guidance, preventive care, treatment, and referral support in areas related to sexual and reproductive health.

Services include:

  • Private consultations on menstrual health, hygiene, and contraception. 

  • Reproductive health assessments and medical referrals when needed. 

  • Counseling on family planning, maternal health, and safe motherhood. 

  • Confidential and stigma-free care that respects privacy and cultural values. 

  • Access to medical follow-up and referral pathways through An-Najah Medical Clinics and An-Najah National University Hospital

  • Premarital screening support through medical analysis laboratories for hereditary diseases such as thalassemia, contributing to informed family planning and preventive public health
