Carbon Emissions Reporting
As part of its Pathway to Net Zero 2028, An-Najah National University conducts annual greenhouse gas (GHG) assessments covering Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions, following the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
In 2025, the university's total reported emissions were 381.30 tCO₂e, a 93.4% reduction from its 2019 baseline. Scope 2 emissions remained at zero. Renewable electricity generation reached 4,580,168 kWh, exceeding the university's reported energy consumption of 1,400,278 kWh for the year.
These results reflect ANNU’s continued investment in renewable energy and operational efficiency as it works toward its Net Zero 2028 target.
