Women’s Health Care Services
An-Najah National University is committed to promoting the health and wellbeing of female students by providing comprehensive, confidential, and inclusive Women’s and Reproductive Health Services. These services focus on awareness, prevention, and access to essential care, promoting informed decision-making, gender equity, and the right to health for all students.
Through An-Najah National University Hospital, An-Najah Medical Clinics, the Deanship of Student Affairs, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, the University provides a broad range of medical services, preventive screenings, and educational programs. These initiatives empower women to take care of their health in a respectful and culturally sensitive manner, ensuring that every student receives the guidance, knowledge, and care necessary to make informed choices about her wellbeing.
On-Campus Health and Counseling Services
Through the University’s Health-Care Unit under the Deanship of Student Affairs, students have access to qualified medical staff who offer guidance, preventive care, and treatment in women’s and reproductive health. Services include:

Peer-to-Peer Health Promotion: Student volunteers serve as health guides, raising awareness and encouraging preventive health practices.

Awareness on Infectious Diseases: The university provides educational brochures and cultural materials for students about infectious diseases, including those transmitted through drug injection. However, intravenous drug use is extremely rare in Palestinian society. Likewise, the prevalence of diseases such as HIV and HPV is very low due to the cultural and religious norms that prohibit premarital intimate relations.

Community Service: Students in Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, and Pharmacy actively participate in outreach activities, promoting women’s health in schools, municipalities, and refugee communities.
