The University declares the launching of the yearly “An-Najah Research Prize” for humanitarian and scientific research.
Prof. Rami Hamdallah, University President, declared that such an award aims to encourage Palestinian researchers from Palestinian Universities to do more, whether in the field of Humanities or Sciences.
Prof. Maher Natsheh, Vice President for Academic Affairs, said that the conditions for participation in the competition include that any presented research shouldn’t have been previously used in any similar contest or as a Master or PhD degree thesis. He added that two jury committees will be formed; one for the scientific research and one for the humanitarian research; each will consist of three qualified University Professors, from An-Najah or other Palestinian Universities, who will evaluate each research independently and will then present the results to the University administration to approve the chosen winners.
