French officials recently visited An-Najah for a meeting with university administration. The meeting was held in order to discuss the future cooperation between the two partners. The visiting delegation included the new French Cultural Councilor, Mr. Jean Paul Ghoneim, the new Director of the French Cultural Center, Ms.Lucienne d`Alencon, and the Coordinator of University Cooperation, Mr. Sebastien Fagart. The delegation was given a tour of the old and new campuses. The French Consulate has been extremely supportive of the university, supporting both the French Department and the Physical Education Department, as well as having provided the new theatre with technical equipment for film screening.
