In presence of representatives from the economic, the banking and the private sectors, the University opened the “Career Unit”. The purpose of the Career unit is to help graduate university students to get jobs, both inside and outside Palestine. Communication between the Career Unit and its local community began to bear fruit when some graduates were hired in different companies of the private sector. The unit will take care of students from the moment they register for their first classes until they receive their graduation certificate, with the university striving to give the highest level of attention and care to each one of its students. The university endeavors to provide students with all the needed facilities, support and resources in order to produce well-educated and well-trained graduates who are qualified and able to find appropriate employment within the community. In response to the increasing number of graduates looking for careers and job opportunities in local and international organizations, the university founded the Career Unit to meet the demands of graduates by helping them to find suitable jobs.
The university aims to strengthen ties with its alumni by remaining in contact with them after they finish their studies, as it considers its students as ambassadors to the associations they work at. In cooperation with local associations and ministries, the Unit offers specialized, individual attention in order to open the doors to these local organizations. By matching graduates with the appropriate positions within local businesses and organizations, the Unit will perform two important functions: reducing the unemployment rate among the graduate community while simultaneously providing these organizations with well-qualified employees who will strengthen and raise the level of productivity in the community.
The Unit aims to train graduates and help them to find job opportunities in and outside of Palestine and communicate with graduate students in order to empower the relationship between them and the university. The Unit finalized some training courses for graduates in order to develop their skills in writing, as well as computer literacy and other related aspects.
