The IT Unit of an-Najah has received UNESCO go ahead to conduct the training courses and tests of the International Computer Driving License, (ICDL). The ICDL is an offshoot of the respected ECDL, the European certificate, which demonstrates a person’s competence in computing skills in accordance with pan-European standards.
The ICDL is used outside the European Union and is identical to the ECDL in terms of syllabus and test content, as well as methods of testing, auditing and accreditation.

Dr.Luai Malhis, the Director of the IT Unit expressed importance of getting the ICDL green light, enabling its holder to make the most of better opportunities, and encouraging the Unit to develop training provision.

As a certified and licensed training and testing center for ICDL the IT Unit becomes the first educational institution to provide training and testing facilities for ICDL in Palestine. As the home for ICDL training and testing facility the Unit can continue to meet its commitment to provide up to date technology education and provide a service to the Palestinian community.
