06 December 2009
The First English Language Exhibition for Teaching Methods was inaugurated today, 6th of December 2009, by the English Department and under the patronage of An Najah National University President, Prof. Rami Hamdallah. The exhibition was attended by several of the faculties' deans, professors as well as a number of English language students.
The exhibition, which continues until next Thursday, includes student-produced teaching methods supervised by Dr. Ahmed Awad, an English language instructor in the Department of Teaching Methods at An Najah National University. Dr. Awad said that these methods serve the various educational stages and that there is a special corner in the exhibition that also serves English language students in the field of phonetics and advanced writing. Such methods serve both school and university stages and also come as an application of the previously discussed theories in the Languages Conference that was held earlier on Saturday, 5th of December 2009. Dr. Khalil Odeh, Faculty of Arts Dean, said that this exhibition comes to serve the students of the English Department in particular and to teach them the various teaching methods so that they become qualified teachers.
Dr. Sameer Al-Eesa, an English language instructor in the English Department at An Najah National University, also highlighted the main goal of this exhibition, which is to give the students the chance to be trained on how to apply what they learn and thus to benefit their society. A number of English language students presented several teaching methods in the exhibition which help the students learn the language easily.
