Earth Sciences and Seismic Engineering Center (ESSEC) participated in an international round table hosted by Reggio Calabria University in Italy on 23-25th April 2004 in cooperation with the Mediterranean Universities of UNIMED.
ESSE`s Director, Prof.Jalal Al-Dabbeak made presentation on the Seismic Earthquake Risk Assessment and Management besides presenting report on the earthquake took place in February 2004, an experts committee was formed in order to manage the future scientific activities of the Mediterranean centers. This committee includes Turku, Palestine, Egypt, Italy, France and Algeria.
ESSE`s Director, Prof. Jalal Al-Dabbeak was awarded the Silver Medal from Reggio Calabria University for his participation in the workshop with a paper on the Seismic Earthquake Risk Assessment and Management and Earthquake Scenarios.
