The project involved cooperation between MedFil Institute in France and the Community Service Center, CSC, in Nablus. Three workshops were organized in the field of social work. The first of these workshops was targeting the police officers and there work in relation to human affairs. The second session was attended by social workers and counselors in service, while the third session was for the Students of Sociology and social work and Psychology at An-Najah University. Dr. Alkhateeb, from MedFil Institute in France trained the participants of these workshops on the methodology of social science and the interdisciplinary and multi disciplinary skills involved with them.
Dr. Alkhateeb spoke about the French experience in the field of social counseling and in the frame work of police activities as well the judicial aspect. Comparisons were made and analyzed between some Palestinian and French examples.
Mr.Sami Alkilani, Director of the CSC mentioned that this project is the fruit of the cooperation between the CSC and MedFil Institute in France. He expressed his hopes to renew it in the future, referring to the positive interaction of the participants shown during the training workshops.
