The Scientific Centers at An-Najah organized a conference on their role in serving the community. The conference was held in two sessions at the Best Eastern Hotel/Al-Beireh in July 18th and at An-Najah campus in July 20th, it was attended by the Board of Trustees, Mr.Salah Al-Masri, as well as representatives from NGOs, and other international organizations.

Prof. Rami Hamdallah, the University president, made a presentation on the establishment of the 14 scientific centers, stating that they are all united by their mission to facilitate and cope with scientific developments.

A number of recommendations were made as a result of the conference such as: the importance of strengthening ties between the scientific centers and local NGOs and the private sector; the necessity of establishing an emergency plan for disaster periods; organizing workshops focusing on the coordination of different centers working in related fields to be attended by professionals and institutions in such fields, and promoting the centers to public through publications and media coverage.
