In cooperation with the Konrad Adenauer Stifting organization, Germany, the Political Science Department at An-Najah National University organized a conference on ‘Political Reform in Palestine.’ A number of different NGOs participated in the conference, as well as some official representatives from the Palestinian political parties.
The conference was divided into three sessions. The first session consisted of the following parts: ‘Reform and the Palestinian Authority,’ ‘The Palestinian Authority Plans for Reform,’ and ‘The Impact of Reform on the Palestinian Liberation Organization.’
The second session consisted of the following parts: ‘Political Parties and Reform,’ ‘The Islamic Vision of Political Reform,’ and ‘Political Reform as Necessary for General Reform.’
The third session, ‘Civil Society and Reform,’ was about the impact of civil society on political reform.
The outcome of this conference, as well as the detailed information about all sessions, will be published in a book.
