Her visit in 2006 is set to record the political developments on the ground since her last visit and also to express her solidarity with the plight of Palestinian people under the Israeli Military Occupation. The meeting was attended by Prof. Sameer Abu-Eisheh, President's Assistant for Planning and Development, and Mr. Saed Abu-Hijleh, Director of Public Relations. Several key issues were addressed in relations to the status of Palestinian academic institutions under Israeli occupation and the way An-Najah University has coped with the harsh conditions during the years of the Palestinian Intifada.
