The Palestinian Cellular Communication Company, Jawwal, offered An-Najah student Najwan Al-Dalq, who graduated at the top of her class from the Information Technology Faculty, a grant to enable her to continue her higher education in Jordan.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Emad Al-Laham, Director of Jawwal Stores for the Northern West Bank, Mr. Nader Al-Aloul, Director of the Nablus store, Mutaz Tufaha, Supervisor of main subscribers in Nablus, Prof. Maher Natsheh, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Mr. Rasheed Al-Kukhon, the Director of the Financial Department, Mr. Rafe Daraghmeh from the Public Relations Department and Mr. Saed Abu Hijleh, Director of the Public Relations Department.
Mr. Laham mentioned that this kind of grant comes as part of the agreement signed between the university and Jawwal, which aims to support exceptional students. He added that such programs represent one of Jawwal's most fundamental and important commitments, supporting youth and education in the Palestinian society. Laham also discussed a new project called “A Step Forward” which is being implemented with the collaboration of several organizations and Sharek Youth Forum. "A Step Forward" aims to spread cultural and social awareness between Palestinian young people.
For his part, Prof. Natsheh thanked Jawwal for its support and encouraged other Palestinian corporations and companies to give more attention to support education and young people, saying that this support was necessary to provide the Palestinian society with professionals that are able to become leaders of the future.
Finally, student Najwan Al-Dalq expressed her gratitude to Jawwal and the university, mentioning that she will be using this grant to continue her postgraduate education in Computer Information Systems (CIS) at Al-Yarmook University in Jordan.
