The Deanship of Students Affairs at the university organized a political gathering in order to announce its unlimited support with the elected Palestinian president Yasir Arafat, thousands students from different affiliations were gathering in the campus in order to show their solidarity and support with their president.

All political affiliations participated in this gathering, they stressed on the importance of the national unity as well as their right to elect their representative without any interference.

This gathering came as a response on the Israeli Cabinet’s Decision to deport president Arafat out of his country; it deserves mention that daily demonstrations are taking place everywhere in the Palestinian territories condemning this Israeli aggression.
