An-Najah National University participated in the Academia Syria International Exhibition for Higher Education, Training and Recruitement which was organized by the ND Group at the Meridian Hotel Hall in Damascus, January 22nd -25th2004. The university delegation was represented by Mr.Rafi Daraghmeh, Assistant Director of the Public Relations Department.

The Exhibition hosted sixty two Arab and international universities and institutions, such as universities from France, USA, Holland, Jordan, India and Egypt. An-Najah University was the only Palestinian university that participated in the exhibition.

The Exhibition was under the patronage of the Syrian Minister of Higher Education, Dr.Hani Murtada. Dr. Najeb Abdulwahed, Assistant of the Syrian Higher Education Minister, opened the exhibition with the presence of Mr. Hassan Nahass, Chairman of the ND Group, Mr. Mohammad Saidawi, Chairman of the Future Line Company who supervised the exhibition, as well as several country representatives. Dr. Abdulwahed expressed his appreciation for the participation of An-Najah despite the siege of the Palestinian Territories imposed by the Israeli occupation.

Mr.Sami Al-Kilani, Director of the Public Relations Department, highlighted the importance of participation in such exhibition to keep in touch with many university and institute participants who participated in the exhibition and to cope with the scientific developments in the other universities around the world.

During the exhibition, An-Najah delegation distributed several brochures, publications, books, magazines, research journals and CD films.

At the end of the Exhibition and in a formal festival, Dr. Hamdi Al-Saqa, Dean of the Arab Academia for Financial Sciences, handed the plaque of the Academia Exhibition to Mr.Daraghmeh, thanking the university administration for their participation at the exhibition wishing the university more future success.
