The Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine opened a new yoghurt factory at its campus in Tulkarim. University President Prof. Rami Hamdallah and Mahmud Al-Jalad, Mayor of Tulkarim, were amongst the dignitaries who opened the factory.

Representatives of other associations in Tulkarim attended the opening, with speeches given stressing the importance of national products, and the benefits of the factory to the students of the Faculties of Veterinary Medicine and the Agriculture.Notable Palestinian businessman Muneib Al-Masri highlighted the importance of producing national products in rebuilding the infrastructure of the Palestinian state, in a speech made at the opening.
