Facilities

Students who enroll in the bachelor's program in physics/single, are expected to successfully ‎complete several compulsory, elective and practical courses. These courses are aimed to ‎providing the students with theoretical and practical training on the necessary equipment and ‎that they need in their work after graduation.‎

Department of Physics contains the facilities and laboratories and analysis devices, which ‎allows a student of physics to use and benefit from them during the period of study. It ‎contains the following:

Industry

Based on the goals and vision of the university, the bachelor's program in Physics focuses on ‎the educational and research activities focused directly on the needs of the Palestinian ‎community in the field of physics and includes courses studied bystudents in the same ‎relationship in the field of teaching industrial field topics such as, for example:

  • Elevator companies.
  • Electricity companies.
  • Energy companies.
  • Energy and Natural Resources of the Palestinian Authority (Energy Authority).
  • Standards Institution Palestinian (PSI).
  • Cellular operators (mobile and national).
  • Telecommunications Company (PALTEL).
 

Coursework and Assessment

The department offers teaching methods that are based on lecturing, scientific reports, presentations, seminars and exams. The department’s students are expected to finish the required compulsory and elective courses according to the adopted study plan at the department.
Students are evaluated according to theoretical exams, seminars, lab reports and homework, which focus on training students on creativity, excellence and devotion to promote scientific research and develop their critical thinking. A numerical scale from 0-4 is used to assess students’ performance after passing the required courses.
In addition to the theoretical courses, the department offers practical training to complete 48 credit hours of training in one of the public or private institutions in the pre-graduation semester. The department in coordination with An-Najah Practical Training Centre choose the institution in which students will finish training.
