A distinguished research team from the Information Technology Department at An-Najah National University's Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology has achieved a significant milestone by publishing groundbreaking research in the Applied Soft Computing Journal. The research, authored by Associate Professors Dr. Amjad Hawash, Dr. Bakr Abdel Haq, and Dr. Ahmed Awad, explores advanced topics in computer science.

The published research, titled “Diversity Enforced Genetic Algorithm (GA) for Binary Decision Diagram (BDD) Reordering,” delves into the impact of variation on the random distribution of potential solutions used to optimize binary trees. This optimization is crucial for solving various problems dependent on the dualities drawn from the trees.

The Applied Soft Computing Journal, known for its commitment to high-quality research in computer science, boasts an impressive Impact Factor of 8.7 and a CiteScore of 14.3. The specialized areas covered by the journal include fuzzy logic, neural networks, evolutionary computing, and the study of individual behavior.

The accomplishment of publishing in such international scientific journals underscores the leadership of An-Najah National University and its exceptional academic staff. This achievement solidifies the university's position at the forefront of Palestinian higher education institutions, emphasizing its commitment to both educational excellence and cutting-edge scientific research.

Despite the challenging circumstances faced by the Palestinian people, including our brothers and sisters in Gaza, the unwavering support provided by the university administration and the Deanship of Scientific Research, coupled with the researchers' dedication to staying abreast of the latest scientific advancements, has proven instrumental in achieving success.

This publication is part of a broader initiative, with the researchers having previously contributed to a series of high-standard research projects in the same field.
