Medical laboratory science program plays a major role in synthesizing different types of vaccines for many infectious diseases caused by pathogenic microorganisms such as meningitis, tetanus, whooping cough, hepatitis and many others.
Also, many factories are constructed in cooperation with scientist in Medical Laboratory Science for producing specific types of proteins such as antigens and antibodies which are essential for diagnosis and identification of the causative agent of many infectious diseases which caused as a result of viral, fungal, bacterial, and parasitic infection.

Coursework and Assessment

Exams. This includes First, second and final exams. The tests include several types of questions – short answer, multiple-choice, and short essay – to allow students to fully demonstrate what they know.
Papers, projects, and presentations. These give students the chance to go deeper with the material to put the knowledge they’ve acquired to use or create something new from it. This level of application is an extremely important and often overlooked part of the learning process. These types of projects also give students who do not test well a chance to shine.
Quizzes.  Gauge students’ prior knowledge, assess progress midway through a unit, create friendly in-class competition, review before the test.
