Industry

Industrial Engineering has emerged as one of the effective disciplines that are optimized to solve the complex issues in the world of technology, in the factories, in the production systems, and in service-institutions around the world. The evaluation of a certain factory or an enterprise is a difficult and complicated dilemma, because it requires the knowledge in basic sciences, engineering sciences, management, behavioral sciences, computer science, information, and the economy. It also requires a broader knowledge in topics concerned with the fundamental principles of production systems.
One of the urgent reasons for the emergence of industrial engineering, is the industrial revolution and the urgent need for trained people and industrially prepared so that they can plan, design, and follow-up with complex and large systems operations, in addition, the urgent need to increase the effectiveness, the efficiency and productivity of operations, as well as improving product quality and services.
and we have  An agreement for graduation projects with Aziza Poultry Company.

Teaching and Learning

Teachers in this department depend on the use of technology in education aiming to improve and develop the educational process. Their experiences were wonderful and distinctive through developing and teaching several courses using Moodle program .They display the material for academic courses so that they are more fun for the teacher and the students with keeping the scientific content and it also helped in the enrichment in the illustration of the images and videos related to the specific theme within the exact sequence and smooth material content, as well as to enrich the educational process through direct communication with students via e-learning features, where the ads and the creation of forums are placed to discuss some ideas and questions which have been asked. The experience was both successful and enjoyable for the student and the teacher and it was easier to help in explaining and communicating the information to the student in a fun way

Coursework and Assessment

Teachers in this department depend on various methods followed by Quality and Accreditation unit
of university education (ABET), and through a number of ways in evaluating:

  1. Formative assessment.
  2. Diagnostic assessment.
  3. Final assessment.

Formative assessment depends on several methods, including: classroom discussion and homework- follow it-up. The most important aims achieved by this type of assessment are: to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the students, to treat weaknesses and avoiding it, and to enhance the strengths and raise the motivation of the learner to learn and continue with it.
Diagnostic assessment aims to discover the strengths and weaknesses in the collection of the learner, and is closely linked to the formative assessment l on the one hand and the final assessment on the other hand. One of its most important aims is to identify the causes of learning difficulties faced by the learner so it can be solved.
Final assessment determines the degree of achievement of learner’s major outputs to learn a certain course.
