The Deanship of Student Affairs at An-Najah National University in cooperation with Witness Center for Citizen Rights and Social Development (Shahid), organized a workshop on women in the labor market on Wednesday April 27, 2022.


The workshop was given by the human rights activist Ms. Manar Al-Masry from the Rural Women's Development Society (RWDS).

It was held as part of the Rural Women's Development Society’s project, which seeks to provide legal clinics and legal awareness workshops for survivors of gender-based violence in the areas around Nablus, with the support of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).

Ms. Al-Masry discussed with the attendees several topics, including the Palestinian labor law, the current labor market situation, hours of work, overtime pay, women workers' rights, and End of service benefits.

The workshop was attended by Mr. Iyad Al-Aqra, Director of Student Affairs, Mr. Rafe Daraghmeh from the University, Ms. Faten Abu Zaarour, Social Counselor at the Deanship of Student Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Jarushi from Witness Center, Ms. Dima Abu Safiya from the Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions, and Ms. Farah Blaibla, Coordinator of “Girl Power” Project as well as a number of interested students.
