June 5th. The Korean-Palestinian IT Institute of Excellence (KPITIE) at An-Najah University organized a special ceremony to honor the South Korean technical staff from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) which visited the University to carry out installation of several systems to the Institute including a new sound system and a new video conference system, in addition to providing technical consultancy to the Institute’s and the Computer Lab’s staff. Attendees included Mr. Sangback Lee, KOICA Representative in Palestine, in addition to several employees from the University.

During the ceremony, Engineer Khaled Barham, Director of the KPITIE, thanked the Korean technical delegation for their efforts and valued their technical expertise and capabilities which they showed during their work. He also thanked the KOICA’s generous funding for the KPITIE and their interest in updating the different equipments that the Institute has so as to enable it to carry on its mission of serving the University and the local society.

The KPITIE has recently received a number of cutting edge devices and equipments as part of a funding from KOICA which included computers, laptops, UPS devices, a sound system for the Conferences Room and a video conference system as well.

The Korean technical team thanked the University administration for providing them with all necessary facilitation and help which enabled them to accomplish their mission successfully. They also thanked the University for organizing a number of tours around the different places in Nablus where they were introduced to the city’s many historical and natural landscapes.
