The University hosted today the International Physicist Elin Ivan, Chairman of the Researchers Group in CERN Laboratory in Switzerland.  Prof. Maher Natsheh, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Suleiman Khalil, Dean of Faculty of Science, welcomed the guest and briefed him on the University's academic programs and development.  During the meeting joint cooperation areas related to laboratories and researches, scientific and academic exchanges were discussed.

After the meeting, the guest visited Faculty of Science at the University's New Campus, and met with Dr. Khalil, Chair of Physics Department and a number of academics at the Departments of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.The visiting scientist gave a lecture on the Big Bang Simulation, which contributes in the genesis  of the universe, and discussed the details of the experiment in terms of using hadrons that use  highly voltaic magnets.  He noted that scientific cooperation projects with the academic members between staff of the Faculty of Science and CERN.  At the end of the visit the guest toured the New Campus and expressed his admiration of the level of development in the Faculty and in the University.
