World Bank`s Delegation Visits the University.

A delegation from the World Bank, consisting of Neil Gabriel, Consultant of the World Bank for the Municipalities Affairs and Mrs. Sahira Bleibleh, Coordinator of the Municipalities Development in the World Bank visited the Center for Urban and Regional Planning (CURP) of the university and met: Prof. Sulieman Khalil, Coordinator of the Scientific Centers; Prof. Eman Al-Amad and Eman Al-Assi from the Architectural Engineering Department.
Prof. Khalil gave a brief description about the university, its different departments, scientific centers and the noticeable developments the university has achieved. In addition he pointed out the projects the university is involved in, on both local and international levels; projects that in particular deal with students and invest in the human resources based at local institutions and municipalities. The professor mentioned the need for help and financial support. The delegation also met Prof. Riyad Abdul Karim, Dean of Engineering Faculty, who explained more about the faculty's departments, its labs and facilities. The delegation then visited Al-Kasem Castle in Beit-Wazan village, which is also the headquarters of the Urban and Regional Planning Center, where they were informed about the reconstruction and renovation of the old monument.
