Workshop on the “Palestine Information and Communications Technology Incubator”.
The Palestine Information and Communications Technology Incubator (PICTI) has conducted an open day at the campus. This event is part of generating the pipeline of ideas, IT concepts and feed from the IT students. It also aims at building the awareness of the incubator’s mission, goals, objectives and processes.
Furthermore, it will assist entrepreneurial talents towards commercializing their innovative ideas, familiarize entrepreneurs with the requirements of applying to the Incubator and take advantages of its professional services to competitively launch and develop entrepreneurial businesses.
The agenda for the event included welcoming remarks by PICTI CEO, Mr. Fayez Husseini, and Dr. Riyad Abdel-Karim, Dean of the Engineering Department, who also gave a presentation entitled “The Engineering College, Facts and Figures”. The agenda also included presentations by PICTI professional staff on Incubators and Entrepreneurship; an introduction to the PICTI mission, goals and objectives; the Incubation process; technical and market feasibility review; and client services.
Over 150 students and faculty members of the Information Technology Faculty took part in the workshop.
