Water and Environmental Studies Institute Concluded a Scientific Field Visit to UK

A team of five master students accompanied by Professor Marwan Haddad, Director of the Water and Environmental Studies Institute at An-Najah National University, participated during the second half of May in a ten-day scientific field visit to UK's academic and private expert institutions in the field of environmental sciences and engineering.
The visit was arranged within a joint EU-Tempus project in which three Palestinian and three European universities are involved with the aim of preparing a strategic plan for the reform of Palestinian environmental higher education. The visit included meetings, seminars, field trips, and discussions on the subject matter with Loughborough University- Water, Engineering and Development Centre, Oxford University-Centre for the Environment, Eco-House, dams flood facilities with environmental assessment exercise, streams field assessment, student union environment and ethics officer, environmental consultants, environmental sustainability departments, and others.
