On March 30 2010, Zajel Youth Exchange Program of the Public Relations Department at the University organized a video conference with Aberdeen University in the United Kingdom. The conference discussed how western youth view and perceive the Middle East and Islam, as well as discussing some political and religious issues.

Dr. Julia Droeber, an instructor of Middle East Studies at Aberdeen, expressed her happiness to participate in such activity that brings together both Palestinian and international students, a thing that helps to bridge the gap between the different cultures around the world. Students on both sides exchanged ideas and discussed several points related to the Middle East and Islam. The Palestinian students found in this event a chance to know how western youth view the Middle East and Islam and the ways to change these ideas to better understand the Middle East issues.
