On October 4^th 2010, UNIMED Director Marcello Scalisi visited An-Najah National University. The University was represented by the UNIMED Regional Office and the International Relations Office. Attendees included Mr. Rafe Daraghmeh, Director of the UNIMED Regional Office, Dr. Khaled Eleiwi, Scholarships Coordinator at the University, Prof. Kheld Al-Sahili, Director of the Construction and Transportation Research Center, and Dr. Marwan Haddad, Director of the Water Quality and Resource Management.  The main objective of the meeting was to discuss the future of the UNIMED Regional Office and opportunities for project cooperation, including TEMPUS MEDA and ENPI CBC and other ventures of interest. Furthermore, Mr. Scalisi discussed a new initiative on tourism in Palestine that is currently underway and invited An-Najah to cooperate.
