President Rami Hamdallah has inaugurated the Fitness Hall of the new Sports Complex at the new campus.  The most sophisticated fitness equipment has been kindly donated by the British Consulate General in Jerusalem to An-Najah National University.  Both parties have underscored the crucial need of such equipment and such centre that would serve the students of the Physical Education Department, staff, and possibly in the near future the community.

On the other hand, the Political Consul and the Projects Officer have mentioned that this in-kind donation is part of the financial assistance programme that the British Consulate is allocating for helping the Palestinian People and for the promotion of the civil society through academic institutions.

Through the Voice of An-Najah Radio Interview, Ms.Karen Mcluskie, Political Consul, has stated that the foreign policy of the British Government acknowledges the rights of the Palestinian People and is fully aware of the different difficulties that the Palestinians face on daily basis.  The British Government is doing the best it can to provide financial assistance to the Palestinians before and after the Paris Conference.  The support is allocated in different fields and is meant to serve the Palestinians to help them promote their standard of living, satisfying the needs, strengthening democracy concepts and capacity building.
