“The writers of the borders” documentary was screened at An-Najah National University and attended by students and faculty members, the film talks about the visit of a number of writers from different countries around the world who came in 2002 to visit the Palestinian territories. They were invited to visit by the Palestinian poet Mahmood Darwish in Ramallah.

The writers describe their experiences in the region, in their own languages, and their shock to see the difficult conditions the Palestinians have to go through on their way to their schools, work and universities in passing through checkpoints. They visited some refugee camps in both Gaza and the West Bank and spoke with locals about their life under occupation.

The documentary was screened at the University as part of the cinema club project which is a cooperation project between Voice of An-Najah and the Public Relations Department. It's under the patronage of Khalil Al-Sakakini Cultural Center and it is expected to have regular screening of films and documentaries here at the University, especially films the students don’t have easy access to.
