University President Prof. Rami Hamdallah awarded H.E. Mr. Jean Pierre Poncet, the Head of the Palestinian-French Cooperation, the University plaque. He reiterated An-Najah National University’s appreciation for the great cooperative relationship with the French Consulate in Jerusalem and the French Cultural Center in Nablus. The depth and duration of this relationship makes it one of the most successful relationships in our array of international connections. He continued that the programs and activities that the French Consulate has conducted with An Najah National University have received the respect and admiration of our students and staff without exception.
During Mr Poncet’s work at the French Consulate during the last four years, he had expressed sincere solidarity with the Palestinian people and he was a good and dear friend to An-Najah National University. Prof Hamdallah concluded by saying that the university appreciated the French Cultural Centers help in the establishment of the physical education Lab and the donation of the Cinema projector. He also thanked them for their role in offering scholarships to An-Najah students and staff, the financial support of the scientific visits and implementing exchange visits for the faculty of fine arts and physical education department. Finally he stated that An Najah would not forget his help in supporting many joint activities such as conferences, concerts and seminars.
