The University Receives the Representative of Canada to the Palestinian National Authority
December 15th 2010. The Representative of Canada to the Palestinian National Authority Mr. Chris Greenshields visited the University where he was received by Prof. Maher Abu Eid, Vice President for Academic Affairs, President Assistant for Strategic and International Affairs and Mr. Steve Royle from the International Affairs Office at the University.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Abu Eid welcomed the guest and explained to him the various faculties, academic programs and specializations that the University has as well as the achievements it made recently. He also described the relationship between the Palestinians and Canadians as strong and emphasized the importance of holding further cooperation between the University and the Canadian Embassy.
On his part, Mr. Greenshields thanked Prof. Abu Eid for the hospitality he witnessed during his visit to the University and ensured that the Embassy of Canada will continue to support the University through cooperation in different fields including science and academic exchange.
The Representative then visited the New Campus where he was introduced to the Faculty of Physical Education, the Media Center and other facilities which he described as impressing.
