On March 10^th 2010, the University President, Prof. Rami Hamdallah received the Palestinian Minister of National Economy, Dr. Hasan Abu Libdeh. Prof. Maher Abu Eid, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Shaker Bitar, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Mohamad Hanoon, Vice President for Community Affairs and Dr. Said Al Koni, Dean of Faculty of Economics, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Prof. Hamdallah presented a summary of the University\'s achievements, the number of students, and the different Bachelor, Masters, and PhD programs it offers. He also spoke about the New Campus and the various scientific faculties, centers and facilities it contains.

Dr. Abu Libdeh congratulated the University for the outstanding ranking it received by the Webometrics which ranked it first in Palestine and tenth in the Arab world. Prof. Hamdallah also emphasized that the University\'s deep concern in scientific research and education has enabled it to take a pride-of-place position amongst other universities both regionally and internationally.
