The University President Receives the British Consul General in Jerusalem

December 1st 2010. The University President, Prof. Rami Hamdallah, received in his office at the Old Campus the new British Consul General in Jerusalem and the Palestinian Territories Sir Vincent Fean. Attendees also included President Assistant for Strategic and International Affairs. In the meeting, Prof. Hamdallah presented a summary of the University, its history, academic programs, the faculties and the different scientific centers it includes which offer a variety of services to the local society.
On his part, Sir Fean thanked the University President for his hospitality and expressed the Consulate's deep interest in developing its relationships with the University. The Consul also visited the New Campus where he was introduced to the different facilities there including the Prince Turki Bin Abdul Aziz Theater and the Faculty of Physical Education.
He also visited the Media Center and its various sections including the TV and radio studios. Mr. Ayman Annimer, the Director of the Center, delivered a presentation in which he spoke about the new advanced technology involved in the production and montage processes as well as the different units that make up the Center.

The Consul expressed his admiration by the level of development that the University has achieved over the last years which is evident in the advanced services seen in many of its facilities such as the new Media Center and others. Sir Fean also inaugurated the new cinema hall at the Center which was established in cooperation with the British Consulate General in Jerusalem.
