The University Participates in an International Conference on Hadith in Cyprus
An-Najah University, represented by Professor Muhammad Shraideh from the Faculty of Islamic Law, participated in the International Islamic Conference on Hadith Science which was organized in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in cooperation between the Near East University and Marmara University on April 26th-28th 2012.
Many researchers and scholars from different countries participated in the event; Professor Shraideh was the only participant from Palestine and has presented a refereed research paper that was titled: “The Scientific Miracles and Contemporary Discoveries in Light of the Hadith”.
In addition to presenting his paper, Professor Shraideh participated in judging and commenting on some of the papers that other participants presented in the Conference, as well as taking part in the recommendations and results sessions.
As part of his participation in the Conference, Professor Shraideh met with His Excellency, the Turkish Ambassador in Cyprus, in addition to other professors from Cyprus, Turkey, the Netherlands, Germany and Iraq.
Moreover, Professor Shraideh had a meeting with Arab students studying in Cyprus as well as members of the Palestinian community in Turkey and Cyprus.
At the end of the Conference, the Organizing Committee presented Professor Shraideh with a participation certificate in appreciation of his efforts and contribution to the Conference through his research.
