Between the 15^th to the 18^th of April 2010, Dr. Riyad Abdulkareem, President Assistant for the New Campus and the Director of the office of the International Association of the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) at the University, participated in a seminar on how to develop work mechanisms of the IAESTE.

The workshop took place in Rendsburg town, Germany in which representatives of 35 member countries in the Association participated. The workshop included work groups that dealt with policy and administrative issues affecting the quality of the IAESTE program as well as the future of the Association.

Several topics were addressed such as quality assurance, how to improve the quality of services presented to clients, welfare, how to ensure student safety, safety measures, Emergency Guidelines, how to make the IAESTE a more effective organization….etc.

Realizing the importance of student exchange, the University has joined the IAESTE and opened a special office that works on coordinating students exchange and training in the different academic and scientific fields.
