On 16^th of February 2010, the Public Relations Department at the University and the TEMPUS Program organized an introductory meeting about the Program in the Conferences Hall at the Old Campus. In the meeting, Mr. Hisham Qaddumi from TEMPUS delivered a presentation about the Program and the projects included in it. This Program is financed by the European Union that began in 2007 and continues until 2013.

The Program targets higher education institutions in 27 partner countries and finances joint projects in various fields such as opening new programs and developing existing ones in the fields of administrative systems employed in different departments in the educational institution. Moreover, TEMPUS contributes to the reinforcement of the relationship between the University and the society's governmental and non-governmental organizations through offering annual projects.
