The University Launches the New Electronic Gallery Project
August 2nd 2010. The Public Relations Department at the University launched the University's new electronic gallery website which was specially built and designed to keep and display the University's archive since its establishment until now. The gallery contains thousands of electronic images and photos of the various conferences, workshops, visits, ceremonies, celebrations, sport activities and events that took place at An-Najah over the course of its history.
It also contains a large volume of images that date back to early 1980s which depict the different aspects of the social, academic, political and cultural life back then. The Public Relations Department aims, by launching this website, to keep graduates connected with their university and enable others to have a closer look at the University, particularly in its early days.
The Public Relations Department believe that the activities and events that the University has witnessed must be documented and kept in archives so as to enable the coming generations to become familiar with the achievements that their university has made. This gives them motivation to continue the University's long march towards achieving more success and progress in the future.
It has always been said that "A picture is worth a thousand words"; this highlights the University's philosophy to familiarize the world with its history combining both written as well as visual messages.
