The University is Granted the Francophone University Agency (AUF) Membership
In a meeting that was organized on May 2010, Dr. Brenard Sigi, Chairman of the AUF, announced that An-Najah National University has been granted the Francophone University Agency (AUF) Membership.
The AUF was founded in 1961 at Montréal, Québec, Canada and it is a multilateral institution which supports cooperation and solidarity between francophone university institutions and encourages the development of higher education and research. It is composed of 685 higher education and research institutions and aims to construct and consolidate of scientific areas rooted in the French language through fostering scientific cooperation, supporting research and excellence and sharing expertise.
The AUF also addresses topics including: the French language, linguistic and cultural diversity, law and democracy, environment and society, water and energy, climate, renewable development, fighting poverty, public health, knowledge economy, experience and discovery in the field of higher education as well as introducing the concept of francophone to the world.
