The University hosts the Deans of the Faculties of Arts Conference
The University hosted a day-long conference for the Deans of the Faculties of Arts at Palestinian universities today.
The purpose of the conference is to bring together deans from the various Faculties of Arts at Palestinian universities so that they have the chance to meet and interact with each other.
Speaking before the conference, Dr. Maher Natsheh, vice president for academic affairs, conveyed the regards of President Hamdallah to the participants in the conference. Dr. Natsheh said, “the aim of this conference is to understand how working in possible partnerships would promote future cooperation and collaboration between the Faculties of Arts at the various Palestinian universities." "The exchange of ideas is always stimulating, and listening to the deans from the different Palestinian universities expressing their thoughts about various issues of relevance to their faculties is indeed a great experience," Dr. Natsheh added.
Dr. Khalil Odeh, Dean of the Faculty of Arts at An-Najah, said that the event is designed to impact our faculties and academic programs in a number of positive and far-reaching ways through exchanging of new ideas and experiences. Dr. Odeh added that the conference gives the deans an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and skills in order to make possible connections for future cooperation projects.
Through a combination of presentations, discussion sessions and interactive workshops, the deans also looked at how potentials of cooperation between Faculties of Arts can be achieved and work in practice.
