The University hosts a seminar on Medical Negligence
The University's Faculty of Law and the Center for Legal Studies and Consultancies organized today a one-day- seminar titled “Medical negligence in the light of Palestinian law." The seminar's objective is to provide medical practitioners and lawyers a better idea about medical negligence and its remedies through the articles of Palestinian law. This seminar also focused on the trends and recent developments in medical negligence law.
Presentations has been made by acknowledged experts in medical law who focused on the trends and developments of the law pertaining to professional medical negligence and the general principles pertaining to medical negligence. Practical issues regarding the application of medical negligence law has been explored. "This seminar offers substantive and integrative approaches to understanding medical negligence law," Dr. Akram Daoud, Dean of the Faculty of Law, said.
Seminar's presentations highlighted that there is a vital need to acquire the necessary knowledge of laws appropriate to medical profession on the part of medical practitioners and lawyers who are dealing with medical negligence cases. "The seminar certainly enhances our awareness of medical practice in today’s Palestine and this awareness can improve the quality of our work," Dr. Daoud added.
