In cooperation between the University, the Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education and the SIDA (Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency) in Sweden, the Department of Musicology at the Faculty of Fine Arts received on the March 24^th 2010 Dr. McKinley Karn, an expert in Drama and human voice development at Gothenburg University in Sweden.

The Faculty organized a workshop for Dr. Karn on the development of the singing voice. Dr. Hasan N'erat, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts attended the workshop and presented a summary of the Faculty's departments, programs, and achievements. Other attendants included Dr. Ammar Qadamani, Dr. Khaleefeh Jadallah, Public Relations Coordinator at the Faculty and a number of instructors.

In the workshop, Dr. Karn introduced a program that Swedish experts have designed which develops and trains the singing voice of individuals.
