In Cooperation between the Faculty of Human Medicine and the Medico-Legal Institute at the University, the Judicial Training Department of the Supreme Judicial Council organized a seminar at the City Inn Hotel in Al-Beireh. The seminar discussed scientific evidences and the legal framework to deal with them for the judges of the criminal bodies in the Magistrates Courts and Courts of First Instance.

Attended the seminar were several judicial and scientific experts. Dr. Ali Abu Hujeila, Judge of the Court of Cassation of Jordan, Dr. Micheal Schulte-Schrepping from the European Police Delegation, Prof. Ghassan Abu Hijleh, Dr. Rami Alzagha, and Dr. Rayyan Al-Ali from the Faculty of Human Medicine, as well as Dr. Raed Abdul-Hamid, Palestinian Court of Appeal Judge and Head of the Judicial Training Department. Dr. Abdul-Hamid welcomed the participants and hoped that the cooperation between the European Police Delegation and the University will continue through different meaningful activities. He also added that it is a great chance to exchange experiences in the field of Judiciary and the issue of scientific evidences in courts. Maria Benedetti, a judicial expert and Judge of the Italian Court of Appeal, was impressed by the role that the Judicial Training Department plays in the cooperation between the European Police and An Najah University.

The Seminar discussed a number of topics such as: modern investigation techniques, an extensive view of Forensic Medicine, Forensic Medicine Analysis, medical report and many others.
