The University Celebrates the Graduation of Students from the Community College

On June 5th 2010, the University celebrated the graduation of students from the Community College. Dr. Farouq Zuaiter Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Community College, the University President, Prof. Rami Hamdallah, Dr. Naser Aloul, Secretary-General of the Hisham Hijjawi College, Dr. Shaker Bitar, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Ghassan Hilo, Dean of the Community College, as well as a number of representatives of several official and public institutions, members of the Board of Trustees and students attended the event.
The celebration was organized at the College where Dr. Hilo delivered a speech in which he welcomed the guests and congratulated the students. He said that the Community College has been established to provide society with professional experts in different fields of life and equip its students with professional skills to be able to join the different institutions of the society.

The field of community education is as equally important as the industrial one since the Palestinian society requires qualified cadres and human resources in the various fields of life. He also called upon local institutions to cooperate and coordinate efforts with the University in order to employ graduates from this College. As its name implies, the Community College is committed towards the provision of the best services to society in different fields of technology and administration through producing qualified individuals in this respect.
Providing a wide range of services to the people in the society is among the priorities of this College. Therefore, the College Administration has been working on training students on how to deliver the best of services. It has prepared special rehabilitation and training programs in which students receive orientation and instructions on how to become active social workers.

Dr. Hilo also spoke about the different educational programs that the College offers in the field of vocational training. He also thanked the local and international institutions for their support and the University President, Prof. Rami Hamdallah for his continuous concern with the development of education at the College.

Finally, the College's first student delivered a speech in which he thanked the College for the support it give him during his study and the encouragement he received from his teachers. He also said that his success has been made possible thanks to the dedication that the instructors have shown. The facilities and services that the College has provided to him enabled him to achieve the highest results and reach his goals.
