The Samaritan Community Exhibition is Opened at An-Najah
In cooperation between the University's Public Relations Department and the Samaritans Myth Society in Nablus, and with support of Paltel Group and Qamhiyyeh Corporation, an exhibition for the Samaritan Community's culture was opened at the University's library today. HE. the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Kholoud D'ebis, Prof. Rami Hamdallah, University's President, Dr. Jamal Muhesin, Governor of Nablus, Mr. Adli Ya'eish, Mayor of Nablus, HE. Priest Abdul-Mu'en Sadaqa, Highest Priest of the Samaritan Community in Nablus, attended the opening ceremony.

During the activities of the official opening of the exhibition which was organized at Zafer Al-Masri Auditoriums, Dr. Muhesin expressed his delight for holding this event and he thanked the University headed by Prof. Hamdallah for the great efforts to support the different activities especially those related to the Palestinian heritage and culture. He also highlighted that the exhibition shows the many sides of the Samaritan heritage and culture which has been preserved for many generations.
Mr. Ishaq Samiri, Secretary of the Samaritan Community in Nablus, said in his remarks, that Nablus has always been famous in embracing the three monotheistic religions of Abraham living in peaceful coexistence and mutual respect. Mr. Samiri expressed his thanks for all the good contributions to support of event, in particular the support given by An-Najah national University and its President.
Mr. Ya'qoub Samiri, Head of the Samaritan Myth Society in Nablus, talked about the Samaritan history. Mr. Ya'qoub added that this exhibition manifests the existing cooperation between the Samaritans in Nablus and An-Najah National University. He noted that the Samaritans have been living side by side with Muslims and Christians in peace and respect. HE. Dr. D'ebis expressed her delight for visiting the University and Nablus. She noted the importance cultural activities to promote Palestinian tourism. She welcomed the idea for holding this event on Samaritan culture which reflects the rich traditions and legacy of the Samaritans.
