On April 24^th, An-Najah University President, Prof. Rami Hamdallah, received in his office at the Old Campus His Excellency, Mr. Igor Pogacar, Representative of the Republic of Slovenia to the Palestinian National Authority as well as Dr. Joseph Mifsud, President of the EMUNI University. Attendees also included Prof. Maher Abu Eid, An-Najah Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Sam Alfoqahaa, Director of the Public Relations Department at An-Najah.

Prof. Hamdallah first welcomed the guests to An-Najah and familiarized them with the latest development the University has accomplished on various levels. He also spoke about the University’s future plans and emphasized its international orientation which is evident through its participation in various international academic events.

Professor Mifsud spoke about EMUNI’s future activities which include academic initiatives related to universities and academic institutions in the Mediterranean region.

Mr. Pogacar expressed his admiration by the level of advancement An-Najah shows and stressed the strong friendship that Palestine and Slovenia have. He also assured his country’s deep concern in supporting higher education in Palestine and in holding student exchange agreements with various countries including those that are not considered members in the European Union.
