The PR hosts International Delegations
The Public Relations Department hosted several international delegations that were interested in learning more about the academic process at the University, as well as the conditions Palestinians live in. The Public Relations Department hosted more than 20 groups in the last few weeks. These groups were from different parts of the world, such as U.S.A, England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Italy, France, South Korea and Spain.
Visiting guests met with Dr. Nabil Alawi, Director of the Public Relations Department, who briefed his guests on the developments that took place at the University, such as the opening of the new campus.
He also spoke about the Israeli violations to the right to education and Campaign launched to raise awareness of the difficulties Palestinian students’ face in pursuit of their education.
The guests witnessed for themselves the destruction caused by Israeli invasions in Nablus Old City. They also visited some of the sites which mark the cultural heritage of this very old city, such as architectural sites, markets and Turkish baths, many of which are still in use or are inhabited today.
Tours were organized to the refugee camps where guests saw at first hand the troubles refugees experience daily in these over-crowded camps.
