In a series of workshops and educative lectures that the Poison Control and Drug Information Center (PCDIC) at An Najah National University holds in cooperation with the Community Service Center, the Mobile Center, Dr. Fadi Bani Shamseh, as a representative of the Center, delivered a lecture in Qabalan Village south of Nablus about the drugs and house poisons and how to protect against them.

Dr. Afnan Hassan, from the Mobile Center, started by talking about some of the activities that the Mobile Center carries out. After that, Dr. Bani Shamseh talked about poisoning at home due to some home drugs and chemical substances, agricultural materials, fertilizers and pesticides. He also discussed poisoning due to some home plants, snakes and insects' bites, as well as the different types of alimentary poisoning. Finally, he mentioned the proper methods of food preservation at home and the damage that could result from the misuse of some types of plastic, as well as the steps that can be taken in order to protect family members from getting poisoned by such materials.
